MRS. S. W. McKEARNEY
Funeral rites for Mrs. S. W. McKearney, 55, native daughter of Nevada, who died at a hospital at Cherokee Wednesday, were held Friday afternoon at Nevada.
Ida Pearle Boynton, the eldest child of Willard H. and Ida Lockwood Boynton, was born in Nevada on September 25, 1880. She grew to womanhood in the Nevada home, attending the local schools and later working at the office of the Nevada Representative. She was employed by the local paper for a number of years in the typesetting department.
Miss Boynton resigned from this work in 1912 that she might be married on May 24th of that year to Mr. S. W. McKearney.
Three sons were born into the family. The eldest, born in 1913, died when about three years of age. The second son, born in 1917 only lived for some three months. Galen, the third son, had grown to maturity and is now located in Nevada where he is employed by the Donnelly corporation. He, with the husband, S. W. McKearney, survive the other beloved member of their family.
Mrs. McKearney is survived also by her father, Millard H. Boynton, Sr. and by five sisters and one brothers; they are: Mrs. Jennie Koehrsen of Mason City; Mrs. Edith Hobson, Collins; Willard H. Boynton Jr., Santa Rosa, Calif.; and Mrs. Ruth Hunt, Mrs. Bernice Smith and Mrs. Hazel Hall all of Nevada.
