Janice Rozine Hutson Wierson, 77, of Ames went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, December 3, 2013. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM at LifePointe Church, 409 13th St, Ames with burial to follow at Ames Municipal Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday evening from 5 to 7 PM.

Janice was born on January 23, 1936 in Marshalltown; the daughter of Dwight and Mae Hutson. Janice met David Wierson on July 4, 1951 and they married on June 21, 1952 in Ames. The couple was blessed with five children. Janice owned Ames Television for many years until selling the business in 1991 and retiring. Janice's passions in life were her family and serving Jesus. She is remembered for making kumla and baking bread and cookies.

Janice is survived by her husband of 61 years, G. David, of Ames; her children, Dan (Marjeane Hunter) of Ames, Denise VanDenBosch of Huxley, Tom (Kim) Wierson of Ames, Debbie (Bob) Lynch of Indianapolis, and David (Julie) Wierson of Grinnell; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jane Nerness of Cambridge. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jack and Jerry Hutson and a sister, Joan Meinecke.
