Betty Case, 72, of Ames, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2013.

Betty Jean Case was born May 6, 1923 to Walter and Grace (Clark) Stickler in Des Moines, Iowa. Betty graduated from North High School in 1941 and married Robert Earl Case Sr. in Des Moines on October 5, 1941. Betty had been a resident of Ames since 1964 and worked as a lab technician for the National Veterinary Services Laboratory (NVSL). She retired in May of 1985. Betty was a devoted and loving mother and a wonderful grandma. She loved her family!

Survivors include two sons, Bob Jr. (Sandy) Case and Bill (Sally) Case, all of Ankeny; one daughter, Sue (Greg) McLaughlin of Ames; nine grandchildren, Bob III (Deb) Case, Shelly (Luke) Hall, Karisa (Rob) Faber, Cole McLaughlin, Clay (Jenna) Case, Katie (Steve) Carlson, Kat Case, Kyle (Cristina) Case, Taylor Case; and five great-grandchildren, Samantha Case, Ava Faber, Kenlee Faber, Hadley Hall and Aven Case.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Bob Case Sr.; her parents, Walter and Grace Stickler; two sisters, Helen Ruiz and Louise Kastner; two brothers, Art Stickler and Wayne Stickler; her daughter-in-law, Jeanette (Herzberg) Case; and her grandson, Matthew McLaughlin.

A private memorial service will be held.

Memorials may be sent in lieu of flowers to Israel Family Hospice House, 400 S. Dakota Ave., Ames, IA 50014.
