Receive Report On Death of C. Bebb

The report was received here today on the death of Clark Bebb, 55, who died in Riverside, Calif., on June 9.

Mr. Bebb was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Bebb, who operated the Nevada hotel nearly 30 years ago, and Clark spent several years of his life here.

The family moved to Oskaloosa, and then to California. At the time of his death, Mr. Bebb, an insurance salesman, was staying in the home of his friends, Mr. and Mrs. Aldrich, looking after things while they were traveling in Europe.

According to the coroner's report, the former Nevada man ws sitting in a chair smoking before going to bed, went to sleep, and dropped the cigaret in the chair.

The spark ignited the chair and the house was nearly destroyed before the fire was discovered. Mr. Bebb died in the fire.

He had served in both world wars, and at the time of his death had recently returned from a veteran's hospital where he had been treated for a heart condition.

The body was cremated a burial was in the Forest Lawn cemetery near Beverly Hills.

Mr. Bebb is survived by a sister, Mrs. Alice Weiser of Beverly Hills, and her son; and also a daughter, Jane Bebb, of Mishawaka, Ind.
