DAILEY FUNERAL TO BE THURSDAY

Dies on Farm Settled by Pioneer Father

Funeral services for Frank Dailey, 68, who was found dead at his farm home east of Ames Monday morning, will be held from the Adams chapel, Thursday at 10:30 a. m. The Rev. H. S. Wilkinson, pastor of the First Methodist church, will officiate and burial will be in the Ames cemetery.

Mr. Dailey is believed to have died from a heart attack and fell dead in his home Friday* afternoon. He was wearing clothing he had on when last seen at the home of his nephew, Merritt Dailey, Friday, and the condition of the body when discovered, Monday, indicated he had been dead two or three days.

He was a bachelor, and died on the farm where he was born in 1864. His father brot his family to Iowa from Pennsylvania in 1858, intending to cross this state on his way to Pike's peak, and to the California gold country. But reaching Iowa, he decided to stop, and settled on a farm that has remained the family homestead since. The father's name was Mallery Dailey.

Mr. Dailey is survived by one sister, Mrs. A. B. Hitchcock of Washington, D. C. and by eight nieces and nephews. The nieces include Mrs. Ray Seaton, Denver; Mrs. Esther McNamee, Congress Park, Ill., and Mrs. Hortense Teller of Washington, D. C.

The nephews include Merritt Dailey, residing on the adjoining farm; M. J. Dailey, Rochelle, Ill,; Albert E. Hitchcock, Younkers, N. Y.; Horace D. Hitchcock, Los Angeles, and Frank Hitchcock,
Washington, D. C.
