Mrs. Lobaugh is dead at age 74, rites pending

Mrs. Marlie Lobaugh, 638 8th, Nevada, died at 7 a.m. today at Younker's Rehabilitation Center in Des Moines.

Mrs. Lobaugh fell and broke her hip about 10 days ago at her home here. She was was 74 years old yesterday.

Survivors include her husband, Marlie; three sons, Clifford of Blairsburg, Donald of Orient, and Phillip of Nevada; and one brother, Bill Sylvester of Nevada.

Geneva Sylvester was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Sylvester and was born in Albia. She moved with her family to Nevada as a small child, attended schools here and was married in Nevada.

She and her husband celebrated their 50th anniversary three years ago.

Mrs. Lobaugh was a member of the First Christian Church of Nevada and served as pianist at the church for many years.

Arrangements are pending at the Ryan Funeral Home.
