MRS. RASMUSSON DIES DURING NEVADA VISIT
NEVADA -- Mrs. J. C. Rasmusson of Spencer who was called here a few weeks ago when her father V. W. Judd was seriously injured in a fall, died of an acute heart attack at the home of her father here Tuesday night.
Judd, 83, is in Iowa sanitarium here and was reported to have borne well the news of his daughter's death. Mrs. Rasmusson was 58 years old.
The body will be taken to Spencer Friday morning for services and then will be returned here for interment in the family lot in the Nevada cemetery at sunset. The body will be accompanied by Mr. Rasmusson, who was here during his wife's brief illness and a sister, Mrs. Bessie Montgomery of Chicago, who arrived here Wednesday night.
Ida Judd was born near Mansfield, Ill., Oct 3, 1877, elder daughter of V. W. and Mary Judd. She came with the family to Nevada in 1895 and for several years the home was on a farm just west of Nevada.
Later the family moved into town and here Ida attended school. She later attended Iowa State Teachers college and then taught school in and around Nevada for a number of years. She also taught at Spencer, where she met her husband. She was married to J. C. Rasmusson, June 30, 1909 and the couple had always made their home in Spencer.
Surviving are her husband, her aged father and the sister in Chicago. Her mother died five years ago.
