KENNETH MERLE MUSE

Kenneth Merle Muse, 71, of 721 10th St., Nevada, Ia., died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1985, at Story County Hospital.

Death was from cancer. He had been ill two months.

He was born at Leon, Ia., Aug. 23, 1914, to Clell and Martha (Harris) Muse.

He came to the Nevada area in 1918.

He was married to Nellie White July 30, 1936 at Bethany, Mo.

Survivors include his wife, Nellie; a son, Ken C. Muse of Boone, Ia., stepdaughter, Helene Comstock of Baxter, Ia.; a stepson, Richard E. Smith of Marshalltown, Ia.; two sisters, Beulah Tillotson of Nevada and Louise Parks of Indiana; nine grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Mr. Muse graduated from Nevada High School in 1934.

He had been employed by Graphic Forms in Nevada.

Graveside services will be held at Nevada Cemetery Saturday, Dec.7 at 11 a.m. with Pastor William Bass officiating. After the graveside service, lunch will be held at the Meadows in the Community Room. Family and friends are invited.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.

Chet Ryan Mortuary, 5th St. and G Ave., Nevada, is in charge of arrangements.
