Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Tom J. Stensland was born August 18, 1954 to Orland and Pauline (Berrett) Stensland in Ames, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed at Fjeldberg Lutheran Church and graduated Ballard High School in 1973. Tom also earned an associate’s degree from DMACC. He married Diana Desher on July 3, 2010. He farmed and enjoyed tractor pulling, NASCAR and his grandchildren.

Tom passed away September 28, 2013 at 59 years of age.

Tom is survived by his wife, Diana Desher Stensland of Cambridge, and her family; his mother, Pauline Stensland of rural Ames; and two brothers, David Stensland and Ron Stensland, both of rural Ames, and their families.

He was preceded in death by his father, Orland.

A memorial has been established in his name.
