Charles Emmit Ballew
Nov. 20, 1911 to Nov.21, 1991
Charles Emmit "Bud" Ballew, 80, of Nevada died of pulmonary fibrosis at Story County Hospital.
He was born to Charles Emmit and Elma L. (Swaringen) Ballew at Fayette, Mo. He married Christine Huston on Oct. 17, 1935. He lived in Nevada for the past 26 years after moving from Hampton. In 1980 he retired as owner of Bud's Antiques in Nevada.
Survivors include his wife Christine of Nevada; one daughter, Dixie Anderson of Clovis, Calif.; two sister, Lucille Slagle of Versailles, Mo., and Cecile "Jackie" Jackson of Fulton, Mo.; one brother, George Ballew of Lansing, Kan., and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Polly Marshall and Ruth Wind.
Visitation was held Sunday and funeral services were held Monday at Cooper-Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada. Burial was in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.
