Glynn Scott Frank, 51, of Zearing, passed away suddenly on September 17, 2013. Scott's life will be celebrated at a memorial service at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, 209 Colorado, Ames at 11:00 am Monday September 23, 2013. There will be a visitation with the family present at Stevens Memorial Chapel, 607 28th Street, Ames from 3-5 pm Sunday September 22, 2013.

Scott was born to Glynn and Dagmar Frank on July 22, 1962 in Athens, Ga. He graduated from Ames High School in 1980 and went on to receive a Bachelor's degree in Business from Iowa State University in 1986. Scott had many interests and was active in his community. He was an avid auto mechanic, owned his own business in Zearing, and also took pride in managing Sam's Riverside in Des Moines. Scott was well-known for his generosity and served for many years as a foster parent. He will be missed by many.

Scott is survived by two adopted sons, Josh Frank of Alabama and Jake Frank of Muscatine, IA; and many foster sons, especially Jake Galles; his parents Glynn and Dagmar of Ames; brother Todd (Kim) Frank of Vinton, IA; sisters Tracy (Chris Fielding) Frank of Lincoln, NE and Susan Frank of Ames. Scott is also survived by Aunt and Uncle Earl and Dorothy Frank of Mabou, Nova Scotia, Canada; cousins Lorelei MacDonald and John Frank; nieces Taylor and Peyton Frank, Jazlyn and Kaylie Davis; nephew Tony Davis; extended family and many friends.
