RENWICK

Mildred Grace Dadisman, 78, of Renwick, formerly of Manly, died Monday (Jan. 27, 1997) at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bethel United Methodist Church, Manly, with the Rev. Robert Cumings officiating. Following the funeral services, cremation will take place with interment services at a later date in the Nevada Cemetery, Nevada.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Bride Colonial Chapel, 110 E. Spring St., Manly, and one hour prior to service time on Wednesday at the church.

The family of Mildred Grace Dadisman has requested that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of North Iowa, 232 Second St. S.E., Mason City, in her memory.

Mildred Grace Dadisman was born on June 18, 1918, in Nevada, the daughter of Lee and Hattie (McColley) Handsaker.She attended and received her high school education in the Lincoln, Neb., High School, graduating in 1935.

She was united in marriage to Glenn A. Dadisman on July 14, 1937, in her mother's home southeast of Nevada. He preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 1989.
After their marriage, together they farmed in the Nevada area moving to the Manly area in 1947, where they continued to farm.

In 1971, Mildred earned her BA degree from Mankato State College. Also during her life, she worked for Tom's Country Market in Manly and also for Larson Manufacturing in Lake Mills for many years until her retirement in 1980, moving to Iowa Falls in 1984 and then to Renwick in 1994.

She enjoyed bowling, raising, showing and grooming pedigree dogs, antiques and playing cards. She was a member of the Renwick United Methodist Church, former member of the Bethel United Methodist Church in Manly, and the United Methodist Church, Iowa Falls, a former member of the Brown-Swiss Breeders Association, member of the Willing Workers at the Bethel United Methodist Church, Mason City Kennel Club and the Women's International Bowling Congress.

Survivors include five children, Donald W. Dadisman and his wife, Joyce, of Summerville, S.C.; Mary L. Sathoff and her husband, Craig, of Iowa Falls; Jerrold G. Dadisman and his wife, Karen, of Manly; Glenda S. Hefty and her husband, Fred, of Renwick, and Sally M. Bale and her husband, Phillip, of Grimes; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen M. Thomas of Redding, Calif., as well as other relatives and friends.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two children, Larry Dadisman and a girl who died in infancy.
