MAXWELL — Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church here Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Calista Adeline Glasgow, one of the earliest settlers of Nevada and Story county, who died at the home of he daughter, Ms. Clayton Dunahoo in Indian Creek township Saturday night Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery at Iowa Center. Mrs. Glasgow was a daughter of one of the first families to settle in Nevada, coming here as a child with her parents in 1854. Mrs. Glasgow had lived with her children in the Iowa Center neighborhood since the death of her husband in 1917. She was the last remaining member of the pioneer family. She is survived by four sons and five daughters: Nathaniel of California, Mark of Marshalltown, William of Cambridge, Ernest of Maxwell, Mrs. George Moore, Mrs. John Doggett, Mrs. Lee Hall, Mrs. Clayton Dunahoo and Mrs. J. F. Dunahoo all of the Maxwell neighborhood.
