Funeral Rites for Mrs. W. L. Lobaugh Friday Afternoon
Funeral rites for the late Mrs. W. L. Lobaugh, 74, who died at the Iowa sanitarium Wednesday afternoon* at 2:50, will be held at the Church of Christ, of which she was a longtime member, Friday a 2 p. m., after which the body will be laid to rest in the Nevada cemetery by the side of her husband, who died Oct. 19, 1938.
The body, now at the Morfoot mortuary, will be take to the Lobaugh home, 325 K avenue, Friday morning at 10 o'clock where it may he viewed by friends until taken to the church for the service, which will be in charge of her pastor, Rev. Brady Brown.
The illness of Mrs. Lobaugh had been brief. She had suffered from pleurisy for a few days when pneumonia developed and Monday morning she was take to the sanitarium, where she gradually grew worse until called by death's messenger on Wednesday afternoon.
Mrs. Lobaugh, one of the well-known and very active women of the city, not only in her home but in church and charitable affairs, had been a resident of Nevada since about 16 years ago when she and Mr. Lobaugh left their Richland township farm where they had lived since 1894, and moved into Nevada locating at 325 K avenue, where spent the balance of her life.
The deceased, who was 74 years of age on Jan. 14, was a native of Illinois, and as Lillie Young was married to William L. Lobaugh at Arrasmith, Ill., Feb. 22, 1877.
She leaves two sons, Marlie Lobaugh of near Nevada and Harold Lobaugh, now living on s farm near New Virginia in Warren county. There are also a number of grandchildren.
