GEO. W. ATKINSON DIED EARLY TODAY, FUNERAL WEDNESDAY

George W. Atkinson, 60, retired merchant of Nevada, died at his home corner of Fifth and Avenue H at an early hour today from the effects of a stroke of apoplexy suffered late Sunday afternoon. Mr. Atkinson had enjoyed a motor car ride during the afternoon and had been out in the yard in the evening when he was attacked by the stroke. Mr. Atkinson, a resident of Nevada for over a third of a century, was well and most favorably known and for the greater part of this residence here had been engaged in the mercantile business. He leaves besides his wife, two children. The son, Wyatt Atkinson with his wife, lives at home, while the daughter, Miss Ila, is at Indianola, where she is a student at Simpson College.
