Kathryn M. Miller, 95, of Gilbert, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013 at the State Center Nursing and Rehab Center where she had resided since March, 2013.

Kathryn was born on November 18, 1917 to Earl and Emma Tutt in Marathon, Iowa. On July 7, 1940 she wed Harry Miller in Storm Lake, Iowa and they were blessed with two children, Norman and Gloria. In 1954 the family moved to Gilbert, Iowa. Kathryn worked as a bookkeeper at the Gilbert Co-op Elevator. She later worked in the accounting department of Iowa State University Press from 1962 until 1987, retiring at the age of 70 years.

Kathryn is survived by a son, Norman (Susie) Miller of Panama City, Florida and daughter, Gloria (Bob) Nichols of State Center, Iowa. Also surviving are a granddaughter, Stephanie Nichols of Kansas City, Missouri; and a grandson, Daniel (Kristi) Miller and great-granddaughter, Angel Miller, all of Panama City, Florida; a sister, Shirley Tutt of Spencer, brother-in-law, Bill Baughman of Ida Grove; and several nieces and nephews. Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband in 1964; her parents; brothers, Bob Tutt and Glenn Tutt and a sister, Margaret Baughman.

A memorial service will be held at Stevens Memorial Chapel, 607 28th Street, Ames, Iowa on Monday, August 12, 2013 at 10:30 AM with an hour of visitation prior and a time of socializing following.
