Dennis J. Clawson
June 07, 1962 - March 20, 2013Dennis Clawson, 50, of Jewell, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.
Dennis was born June 7, 1962, in Des Moines to James and Patricia (Lewis) Clawson. He graduated from Ballard High School in 1980, and had worked the past 32 years for 3M in Ames as a stockroom attendant. Dennis enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing various yard games, camping, hunting and playing pool. He also liked playing cards, metal detecting, mushroom hunting and being outdoors.
Dennis is survived by his wife Debbie of Jewell; his daughters, Keri Clawson of Jewell and Lisa Clawson of McCallsburg; his brothers, Greg Clawson of Ames and Don Clawson of Nevada; his sister, Susan (Rick) Terrones of Huxley; two grandchildren, Sophia and Carly Clawson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church, 1036 7th Street in Nevada with Deacon Brenda Hobson officiating. Burial will follow in the Cambridge Cemetery in Cambridge.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in memory of Dennis.
