FRANKLYN CHARLES BOOTH
Franklyn Charles Booth, the son of Charles and Florence Booth, was born July 19, 1908 at Mason City and died at Story City Memorial Hospital April 21, 1966, after a long illness.
He married Margaret Lockwood Oct. 21, 1941 at Houston, Mo.
Mr. Booth owned and operated an electric shop in Story City and was formerly employed by Iowa State University. He had been a Story City resident for about 20 years.
He was an active member of the Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church and was past master of the Kohinoor Lodge No. 576, a member of Joshua Chapter, Gebal Council and Ascension Commandery of Ames.
Mr. Booth is survived by his wife, Margaret; a sister, Mrs. Dorcas Wike, San Mateo, Calif., and a niece and nephew, Ruth and Clair Elphic, Hampton.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Funeral services were held April 23 from the Soderstrum Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul H. Beckman officiating. Burial was in the Story City Cemetery. Graveside Masonic rites were held at the cemetery.
