Mrs. Hegland, died Saturday

Mrs. Caroline A. Hegland, 80, Story City, died Saturday morning at the Mary Greeley Hospital after a two week illness.

Funeral services were Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City with the Rev. C. A. Gisselquist officiating. Burial was in Story City Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Hegland was born in Stavanger, Norway and came to the United States in 1912. She married Even Hegland in 1925. From 1927 to 1965, the couple famed near Williams. They moved in Story City in 1965.

Servivors insclude her husband, Even; a son, Merlin T. Hegland of Jewell, two granddaughters, two brothers, Lewis Skjeie of Wolf Point, Mont. and Kristin Skjeie in Norway.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City.
