Lande services to be Thursday
Bentley M. Lande, 74, 505 13th St., died Sunday at Iowa City. He had been ill for one and one-half years.
Born April 27, 1887 in Huxley, he came to Ames in 1934. He married Anna Malmanger at Des Moines in 1911. For 25 years, he was custodian of Lincoln elementary school in Ames.
Survivors include his widow, three sons, Archie of Omaha, Laurence of St. Charles and Bayerd of Ames; three daughters, Mrs. Selma Scott of Route 2, Mrs. Elsie Carlson of Roland, and Mrs. Betty Manning of Clarion,; and three brothers, Tom of Story City, Edward of Thompson and Jacob of Wheaton, Minn.
Funeral services will be held from Stevens-Ross Funeral Home, Thursday at 2 p.m., the Rev. O.M. Severseike of Bethesda Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.
