Last Rites Held For Lewis Borgen

Funeral Services for Lewis O. Borgen were held from the Ryan Funeral home Wednesday afternoon at 8 o'clock with the Rev. E. P. Windman officiating.

Organ music was played at the opening and slosing of the service.

The casket bearers were Wayne Babbitt, Lloyd Child, Gilbert Henry, Marvin Smith Sr., Clyde Steward and E. J. Williams.

Burial was made in the family lot in the Nevada cemetery.

Obituary

Lewis O. Borgen was born August 4, 1874, in Nevada, the son of Martin and Julia Borgen and died at his home May 18, 1953.

He had spent his entire life in Nevada and was engaged in furniture business which his father started here eighty three years ago.

He was united in marriage August 31, 1898 to Helen Gronstad and to this union two sons, Guy of Phoenix, Ariz., and Ernest of Des Moines were born.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, John, a few years ago, and one brother and three sisters a number of years ago.

Surviving him are his wife, two sons, Ernest and Guy; one grandson, David, of Des Moines; one brother, Clyde of Nevada, and a sister, Mrs. H. W. Bowers of Nevada.
