Mrs. Eva Ellen Freeman, 84, 417 Sixth St., died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Floyd Castle, Des Moines, Monday morning.
She had been with Mrs. Castle since becoming ill in December.
Mrs. Freeman born at Schuyler, Neb., had been an Ames resident since 1939. She had been a dressmaker until her marriage to Carl P. Freeman.
Mrs. Freeman was a member of First Christian Church and was a charter member of the Golden Age Club.
She is survived by two sons, Paul W. of Harlan and Carlos M. Freeman, Dillon, S. C.; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Castle of Des Moines, Mrs. Mary Buck, Waukee and Mrs. Lucille Ferguson, Nevada; two sisters, Mrs. Lottie Sullivan, Loveland, Colo. and Mrs Will Thomas, Des Moines; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, June 25, 1945.
Funeral services wil be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday from Adams Funeral Home, with the Rev. Roy C. Key, pastor of Free Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.
