Obituary

ALONZO YOUNG was born in the state of Wisconsin Oct. 17th, 1854, and died at his home in Ames, Iowa, June 29, 1895.

Mr. Young came to Iowa in 1850 and has made his ome in this state ever since. He was united in marriage to Miss Barbara Allen Gregory in 1870. To them were born seven children, one died in infancy. He leaves a wife and six children, aged parents, brothers and sisters and other relatives to mourn his loss, he also leaves many friends in his home city.

He was a strong man in the prime of life, a loyal citizen, and accomodating neighbor, a dutiful husband and a provident father.

A large attendance gathered at the U. B. church to show them respect for him and sympathie with the sorrow stricken family. The sermon was preached by Rev. Hiely from Job 30:23.

His aged parents, brothers and sisters were present at the funeral.
