Obituary

ALBERT MONSON

Funeral services for Albert Monson, 95, Story City, who died Jan. 3 at the Bryant Nursing Home in State Center, were held Jan 6 from the Immnanuel Lutheran Church Chapel with the Rev. Harold T. Masted officiating. Burial was at the Story City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Alfred Jacobson, Martin Jacobson, Harry Jacobson, Walter Elder Jr., Clarence Monson and Eldin Hand.

Born southeast of Story City Sept 24, 1868, he lived with his family in Roland for 20 years, then moved to Story City.

He is survived by a daughter, Theresa Monson, Nevada; two brothers, Ole Monson and Martin Monson, borht of Story City and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, in 1937; his parents, three brothers, Lars, Mons, and Bill and four sisters, Anna, Martha, Julia and one infant sister.
