Services held for Mrs George Nelson

Mrs. George Nelson, 49 of Story City, formerly of Stratford, passed away Thursday, December 17 at the hospital in Story City. She had been in ill health for some time.

Funeral services were held Monday Dec 21 at 2 p.m. at St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City with Rev. George Strum officiating. Burial was in the Story City Cemetery.

The former Mary Haxton, Mrs. Nelson was born and reared at Britt. She and her husband later lived for some years at Stratford before moving to Story City in 1960.

Mrs. Nelson is survived by her husband, two children, and several grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Merle Haxton of Britt and Melvin Haxton of Mason City.
