Archie Millang, Story City, Died

STORY CITY--Archie Millang, 40, died early this morning at his home here. He had been ill for the past two years.

Born in Hardin county, he had lived in the Story City area all his life.

Survivors include his wife, Florence; a son, Larry, at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Millang of Story City and two brothers, Herbert of Zearing and Irven of Long Beach, Calif.

Funeral services will be held Sunday. A short prayer service will be held at 2 p. m. from the Larson Funeral Home, followed by rites from the Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. T. J. Alvestad of Ames will officiate. Burial will be in Story City municipal cemetery.

ARCHIE MAYER MILLANG

Archie Mayer Millang, 40, who died at his home in Story City Oct. 10, was buried at the Story City Cemetery following services Oct. 13 at the Larson Funeral Home and Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Millang, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Millang, was born Feb. 18, 1917, near Garden City and grew up in Randall and Roland, attending the Roland schools. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.

He married Florence Seversike, Garden City, Jan 27, 1940 and is also survived by their son, Karry.

Millang underwent surgery two years ago and had been in failing health since.

He is preceded in death by an infant sister.

Survivors include the parents, wife, son and two brothers, Herbert, Zearing, and Irven, Long Beach, Calif., two nieces and a nephew.
