Rolland L. Rehor, 93, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at his residence in Dunedin, Florida with loving family close at his side. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 11 at the Memorial Lutheran Church, 701 11th Street in Nevada with Pastor Myron Herzberg officiating. Burial, with military rites, will follow in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. A luncheon will take place at the Memorial Lutheran Church after burial services.

Rolland was born May 5, 1919 in Melcher, Iowa the son of Louie and Ethel Mae (Wood) Rehor. He graduated from Melcher High School in 1938 and enlisted in the Army June 2, 1942 serving as a Military Policeman in the India Burma Theater during World War II.

On June 22, 1952 Rolland and Helen Pearey were married in Cambridge, Iowa. Together they raised three children, Bradford Lee, James Rolland, and Nancy Kay at their home in Nevada, Iowa.

Rolland was an electrician at the Iowa State University Atomic Research Lab until his retirement in 1985. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed playing golf, hunting, and fishing and watching his children and later grandchildren participate in their athletics.

Rolland and Helen celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 2012 at their home in Dunedin, Florida.

Survivors include his wife, Helen, sister, Phyllis Murphy, children James and Nancy, daughter in law Denise Rehor, grandchildren of son Bradford, Amanda, Jessica, and Katherine of Fort Worth, Texas, grandchildren of son James (Melanie), Gabrielle and Danielle of Shawnee, Kansas, grandchildren of daughter Nancy (Kurt) Rasmussen, Paul (Kari), Blake, and Paige of Palm Harbor, Florida, great grandchildren of granddaughter Amanda, Addison and Aiden, and great grandchild of granddaughter Jessica, Riley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Albert and Lewis, and son, Bradford.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Chapel of the church.

A memorial fund has been established in loving memory of Beau.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada has been entrusted with the care of Beau and his family.
