Obituary for Dorthy Jean Larson

Dorthy Jean Larson was born April 20, 1929 to William and Helen (Ives) Mitchell in Marengo, Iowa. She married Osmond M. Larson on August 28, 1947. Dorthy worked as a homemaker and enjoyed to quilt, cross stitch, bake, cook, and liked going antiquing. She was a member of Palestine Lutheran Church.

Dorthy passed away March 4, 2013 at Story County Senior Care in Nevada at 83 years of age.

She is survived by two children, David (Mary) Larson of Chandler, Arizona and Joyce (Pat) Dennis of Huxley; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law Rebecca Larson of Ankeny.

Dorthy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Osmond; her son, Donald Larson; one brother, Robert Mitchell, and two sisters, Maxine Birkestrand and infant Geraldine Mitchell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Palestine Lutheran Church.
