OBITUARY

MRS. ALBERT HENDERSON

Julia Henderson was born August 25, 1877 to Oliver and Martha Henryson in Story City, Iowa, and grew up on the Henryson farm one and one half miles north of Story City. On October 13, 1909 she was united in marriage to Albert E. Henderson and moved to the Henderson Homestead 3 miles northeast of Story City. In the early years of her marriage, she was mother to her husband's younger brothers and sisters who made their home there. Five children were born to this union, three of whom survive: Miletta, Joseph and Leslie.

Mrs. Henderson remained on the farm until after her husband's death in October, 1948, and moved to Story City, in early 1950 where she was living at the time of her death.

On Wednesday evening, September 12th, she became ill and was taken to Story City Memorial Hospital. She did not respond to medical treatment and slept her few remaining hours away quietly and peacefully, and departed this life at 6 a. m. Thursday, September 13, 1962 at the age of 85 years and 18 days.

She was a life long member of St. Petri Church of Story City, having been baptized, confirmed and married there.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 15, at 2 p.m. at the St. Petri Lutheran Church, the Rev. Geo. Strum officiating.

Survivors include three children Miletta Henderson of Story City, Dr. J. A. Henderson of Ankeny, and Leslie Henderson of Nevada; seven grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers all of Story City, Mrs. Osmund (Margaret) Mortvedt, Miss Clara Henryson, T. Z. Henryson and Martin Henryson. She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister and two brothers. She will be remembered by many relatives and friends.
