From Nevada Representative September 27, 1882

Last Sunday week, R. E. Sherwood, a young man of Marshalltown was drowned while trolling for fish in the Iowa rive. The trolling line was attached to the gunwale of the boat and then about the young mans leg. The hook caught on a snag upsetting the boat with the sad result above stated.
