Obituary.
CENTER GROVE, May 1st, 1822.
Died, April 29, at Cambridge, Iowa after a brief illness of one week Howard Groseclose. His disease being inflammation of the brain soon destroyed both the senses of hearing and seeing, and rendered him unconscious most of the time. Thus has passed away in the full vigor of youthful life, just entering into business for himself, so full of hope, so full of bright expectations, one of the noblest of our young men. Truthfully can it be said of him that he has lived his brief life of 24 years without an enemy. His irreproachable life is to his afflicted friends in this hour of deep distress a most comforting reflection. His funeral was preached by Eld. I. Reid of Nevada on Sunday the 30 ult at the M. E. church in Cambridge, his remains were then removed to and buried in Center Grove cemetery attended by the largest concourse of sympathising friends and neighbors over seen at this place. R. R. P.
