Richard B. Ostermann

BORN: August 25, 1969
DIED: November 8, 2012
LOCATION: Ames, Iowa

Richard B. Ostermann was born August 25, 1969 to Donald Bruce and Janice Marie (Johnson) Ostermann in Ames, Iowa. He graduated Ames High School in 1988 and then from DMACC with an Associate Degree. Richard worked as a restaurant manager at McDonalds for 17 years on Welch Avenue and in the Memorial Union. He was a member at Memorial Lutheran Church in Ames. Richard was a collector of Hot Wheels, various sports cards, and loved going to auctions and flea markets. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and loved NASCAR, with Tony Stewart as his favorite driver.

Richard passed away November 8, 2012 at Mary Greeley Medical Center at 43 years of age.

Richard is survived by his parents Don and Jan Ostermann of Ames; his sister Susan Ostermann of Houston, Texas; his brother David (Therese) Ostermann of El Central, California; his nephew and niece Nathan and Danielle, also of El Central; his aunt Jean (Carol) Jacobson of Lake City, Iowa; and his two cousins, Kristy Jacobson and Michael Jacobson.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his aunt Mavis; and his one uncle James, who died in infancy.

Memorials may be designated to the Ames Animal Shelter or the Memorial Lutheran Church Youth Fund
