Died.

In Nevada on Saturday November 12th of paralysis, Mrs. Lavina Child, wife of Geo. Child, aged 48 years, 5 months and 13 days.

Mrs. Child's maiden name was Hall and native place, Grafton, New Hampshire. She was married to Mr. Child in 1852, and together with her husband had resided in Nevada for 25 years. She was the mother of 8 children, seven of them living and all at home to attend her funeral but the oldest, Willie, who was in Colorado. The funeral was held in the Methodist church on Monday, attented by an unusually large congregation. The services were conducted by Rev. Miss Garard, pastor of the Universalist church of Boone, assisted by Rev. A. Thornbrue, pasto or the Methodist church of this place. Mrs Childs was a highly respected lady, a kind neighbor, a true and loving mother and will be greatly missed in the community in which she lived.
