DEATHS.--Mrs. Hemstock, an old resident of the county aged about 80 years, mother of Thos. and Geo. W. Hemstock, died on Sunday last.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Martha "Mattie" (Taylor) Hemstock was the second wife of Thomas Hemstock. Although she was the mother of George W. Hemstock, she was the step mother of Thomas Hemstock, Jr. Thomas Hemstock, Sr. had first married Anne Kneale and they had one child: Thomas Jefferson Hemstock reference above.
