From Nevada Representative June 22, 1881
Died.
In this city, on Saturday, evening June 18th, Mrs. Lillie King, wife of County Treasurer Jay A. King.
The death of Mrs. King is one of the saddest events that has ever visited this community. Young, married less than a year, favored with such surroundings as would make home and life happy, yielding up her life in fulfilling the destiny of woman, that of giving existence to another. She leaves a husband, and babe about two weeks old, who will never know the sweet cares of a mother, a father and mother and two brothers, besides nearly the entire community who have known her from childhood, to mourn her loss. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Reid, on Monday afternoon, at the residence, and an unusually large procession followed her to her last resting place in our beautiful cemetery.
