Fern Bryant, 84, of Nevada, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012, at State Center Nursing and Rehab in State Center.

Fern was born January 3, 1928, to Orville and Lorna (Voight) Wengert. She graduated from State Center High School, then attended Delta State for four years. She was united in marriage to Kenneth E. Bryant on December 22, 1946, in State Center. Fern was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada and enjoyed her antique store and going to antique auctions.

Fern is survived by her son, Rev. Kent (Nancy) Bryant of Rapid City, South Dakota; her daughter, Kim (Ed) Freymiller of Boulder, Colorado; and one grandson, Kevin Freymiller. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband on June 26, 2006.

Per Fern's wishes, she has been cremated and private graveside services will be held at a later date.

Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
