Gladys June Risdal

BORN: June 4, 1927
DIED: September 28, 2012
LOCATION: Story City, Iowa

Gladys Risdal 85, of Story City passed away on Friday, September 28, 2012 at her home. Memorial Service will be at 2 pm, Wednesday October 3, 2012 at the Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City. Visitation is 1 hour prior to service. Inurnment will be at the Roland Cemetery following the service.

Gladys June Ragee Risdal was born June 4, 1927 to John and Carrie (Johnson) Ragee in Randall, Iowa. She married Gerald Risdal on August 14, 1949.

Enjoying family gatherings and her grandchildren were very important to Gladys. Her hobbies were mainly singing and playing the organ and being sociable. She spent many years working as a nurse's aide. She was a member of the Bergen Lutheran Church.

Gladys is survived by: her husband Gerald; 2 sons: Clark Risdal of Ames and Alan Risdal (Kara) of Roland; 2 daughters: Denise Risdal of Story City and Susan (Greg) Olson of Roland and 7 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: her parents; 2 brothers: Joe and Herman; and 2 sisters: Clara Sheldahl and Alma Ragee.
