Orville B. Madson

BORN: November 21, 1913
DIED: August 15, 2012
LOCATION: Boone, Iowa

Orville B. Madson passed away on August 15, 2012 at West Haven Community in Boone, Iowa. He was 98 years old.

A former Story City, Ames, Webster City and Boone resident, he moved to Westhaven Community Nursing Home in Boone in 2004.

He was a farmer for many years before moving to Story City. He was employed by grain elevators in Story City, Ames and Gilbert, before retiring from Iowa State University.

On February 14, 1941, in Story City, he married Luella Haugland. She preceded him in death in 1996.

Funeral services are held Monday, August 20th at 1:30 pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church Chapel where they were members for many years. Burial is at Story City Cemetery.

Orville was born November 21, 1913 in Hamilton County. He was the son of Ole and Isabelle (Enderson) Madson.

Orville is survived by two sons: Larry (Connie) of Boone and Paul (Darlene) of Ames; three daughters: Barbara Soregaroli (Bob) of Hutchinson, MN, Sharon Christenson (John) of Webster City and Linda Reed (Tom) of Athens, GA; sister in law Mrs. Elsie Madson and an uncle Isaac Enderson of Minnesota; 14 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.
