December 28, 1946 - December 25, 2010

Leonard J. "Todd" Stiles, 63 of Boone died on Saturday, December 25, 2010 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. The family will announce a future date for family and friends to join and celebrate Todd's life.

Todd was born on December 28, 1946 in Buffalo, NY to Richard Albert and Irene (Nikon) Stiles and grew up in Ohio. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. On December 14, 1985, Todd married Diane Furry in Ames. He retired in 2009. He enjoyed golfing, corvettes, racing dune buggies and an Austin Healey Sprite. He knew Lake Okoboji as a second home where he spent time watching birds with his wife Diane and swimming with his daughters. Todd loved spending time with family especially his 3 grandsons and caring for his dogs Spirit and Tazz.

Todd is survived by his wife, Diane Furry of Boone; 2 daughters, Jennifer (JD) Aldridge of Kellogg and Jessica (Jason) Dittmer of Milo; 3 grandsons, Jase Aldridge, Carson and Cameron Dittmer; 2 brothers, Doug (Kim) Stiles and John (DJ) Stiles, all of Longmont, CO.

Todd was preceded in death by his parents, brother Rick Stiles, and sister Corrine Adams.
