Bonnie Jane Adams
February 18, 1925 - September 3, 2011

Bonnie Jane Adams, 86 of Ames, died peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at the Story County Medical Center in Nevada. Graveside memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 8 at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery with Pastor David R. Burling officiating.

Bonnie was born on February 18, 1925 in North Platte, NE to Edward L. and Hazel (Workman) McNeel. She was a 1943 graduate of North Platte High School. On Thanksgiving Day in 1944, Bonnie was united in marriage to Jim Adams in Liberal, KS. After moving to Ames in 1973, she and Jim were co-owners of Adams Cycles. Bonnie enjoyed crocheting and loved watching college football.

Bonnie is survived by her former husband Jim Adams of Ames; 2 sons, Terry Adams of Nevada and Kenny (Jennifer) Adams of Ames; 3 grandchildren, Robbie (Chris) Adams and their children Brandon and Danny, Tonya (Bill) Habhab and their children Tanner and Austin, and Garrett Adams; a brother, Albert McNeel of North Platte, NE; several nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, 6 sisters and brothers.

A memorial fund has been established in loving memory of Bonnie.
