Cambridge, IowaJune Erickson, 94, of Nevada, formerly of Cambridge, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2010, at the Rolling Green Village in Nevada.
June was born February 26, 1916, at Des Moines to John and Sina Christopherson. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1934. June married Harold E. Erickson on December 3, 1938 at the Loring United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker her entire life and enjoyed cooking.
June is survived by her three sons, David of Cambridge, Donald (Kathy) Erickson of Nevada and Dennis Erickson of Cambridge; her sister, Eda Scott of Ames; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold on January 26, 1999; her son, Harold John; her brothers, Harold and Wendell Christopherson; her sisters, Lois Whitney and Evelyn Christopherson in infancy.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2010, at the Cambridge United Methodist Church in Cambridge; burial will follow at the Cambridge Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cambridge United Methodist Church.
