Donna Jean (Osborn) Shepherd, 74, of Nevada passed away Monday, March 21, 2011, at Comfort Care Home in Omaha, Nebraska.

Donna was born October 7, 1936, in Coatsville, Missouri to Roy and Iowa Blanch (Snodgrass) Osborn. She graduated from Huxley High School in 1955. On February 8, 1959, she was united in marriage to Donald Shepherd in Princeton, Missouri. She worked for General Telephone Company for 30 years retiring in 1987. Donna enjoyed reading and crocheting and loved to be with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Denise (Jeff) Spahr of Omaha, NE; her step-daughter, Debbie (Ron) Yakel of Port St. Lucie, FL; her brother, Roy Osborn, Jr. of Marshfield, WI; her sister, Norma Barclay of St. Ansgar, IA; ten grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her step-son, Donald L. Shepherd; six brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2011, at Memorial Lutheran Church, 701 11th Street in Nevada, with Pastor Myron Herzberg officiating. Burial will follow at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-6 Sunday, March 27, 2011, at Bacon Funeral Home, 1418 Fawcett Parkway in Nevada.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Donna.
