June 8, 1964 - June 9, 2011
Collins, Iowa

Edward Wayne Corbin, 47, of Collins, died June 9, 2011, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Mingo.

Edward was born June 8, 1964, in Ames to Virgil Wayne Corbin and Ellen Faye (Williams) Corbin. He graduated from Maxwell Community High School in 1982 and married Elizabeth Ann Sager; together they have two boys, Andrew Wayne and Joshua Wesley and step-son, Russell Blacksmith. Ed had worked for Com-Tech, Gaylord Contractors, JMT Trucking and Golly’s Locker. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and outdoor activities.

Ed is survived by his mother, Faye; his children, Andrew, Joshua and Russell (Elizabeth); sister, Kim Corbin; his nephew, Jacob Ball; his grandchildren, Austin, Calob and Victoria Blacksmith; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne; his step-father, Leonard Golly and his grandparents.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2011, at the Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell with burial to follow at Maxwell Cemetery. Family will greet friends 5-8 p.m. Saturday evening also at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Edward Corbin Memorial Fund.
