Obituary

Chris Allen Knutson, 51, of Webster City and formerly of Ames, was born on December 12, 1960 in Decatur, IL. He was the son of Dean and Jan Knutson. Chris attended school in Ames and graduated in 1980. Chris worked in sales, most recently in financial imaging. He was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Ames.

Chris died on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 while a patient at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He was preceded in death by his father, Dean Knutson. Chris is survived by his son, Kyle Knutson of North Olmstead, OH; his mother, Jan Knutson Lewis of Ames; sisters Diane Blair and her children of Eden Prairie, MN and Olivia Wentworth of Raleigh, NC, his significant other, Susan Matthews of Ankeny.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 9, 2012 at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Ames with burial following at the Ames Municipal Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral mass.
