Dean Lester

March 12, 1935 - December 5, 2010
Slater, Iowa

Dean E. Lester, 75, passed away December 5, 2010 at his home. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Slater United Methodist Church, 401 Story St., Slater, IA. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2010, at Slater United Methodist Church. Burial will be immediately following the funeral Service at Slater Cemetery, Slater, IA.

He was born March 12, 1935 near Liberty Center, Iowa to Dale and Hazel Lester. Dean’s passion in life was his family and working with the youth.

Dean is survived by wife, Sandra; sons, Brad (Donna) Lester of Slater, Todd (Lorri) Lester of Slater, and Marty Lester of Altoona; grandchildren, Greg and Josie Lester, Mallory and Emily Pope, and Dawson and Kinsey Lester; brother, Merrill Lester of North Carolina; and sister, June (Leo) Hamilton of Missouri.

Dean will be missed by his loving wife Sandra and his children. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
