Ada Downs

DIED: January 22, 2011
LOCATION: Ames, Iowa

Ada was born in Mercer, MO, July 10, 1936 to George and Lula (Crawford) Wendt. She worked at the 3M Company for several years. In her retirement, she enjoyed camping, traveling, collecting dolls, and playing cards at the Legion club.

She is survived by her children, Dan (Sharon) Spencer, of Ft. Collins, CO, Deb (Dennis)) Bohlken of Anamosa, Tad Downs of Nevada, David (Dawn) Downs of Boone and Tina (Rob) Tweedt of Ankeny; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, family and friends.

Ada was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy in 2006; infant daughter, grandson, and granddaughter; one sister and five brothers.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Senior Services or Ames American Legion Post #37.
