Richard "Rich" Gibson

November 25, 1955 - November 27, 2011

Slater, Iowa

Rich was born Nov. 25, 1955, in Des Moines, to Marshall "Woody" and Edna (Greenman) Gibson. He was a 1974 graduate of Ballard High School and was a Facilitator at Sauer Danfoss for 36 years. He married LuAnn Walker June 18, 1976 in Slater. Rich was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and he enjoyed fishing, golfing, cooking, gardening and spending time with his family.

His survivors include his wife, LuAnn, of Slater; his children, Joe (Lora) Gibson, Amy (Matt) Holmes, and Jen (Anders) Dovre, all of Slater; his sisters, Myrna (Darrell) Harmon, of Slater, Marcia Millang, of Story City, and Elaine (Max) Raines, of Slater; brothers, Gary (Carol) Gibson, of Huxley, and Mike (Joyce) Gibson, of Huxley; one grandchild, Afton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Don Millang; and sister-in-law, Karen Gibson.
