Robert "RJ" Belz

BORN: September 21, 1951

DIED: March 3, 2012

LOCATION: Maxwell, Iowa

Robert "RJ" Joe Belz, 60, of Maxwell, died Saturday March 3 at home. Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 14 at Slater United Methodist Church. Visitation is one hour prior to the service.

RJ was born in Waterloo September 21, 1951 to Herbert and Carma (Anderson) Belz. He was a self-employed builder of homes in the Des Moines area. RJ enjoyed collecting cars, especially Corvettes. He also enjoyed boating, riding his Harley, and his annual family golf outing.
Survivors include his mother, Carma; son, Rob; siblings, Dick (Paula) Belz, Barb (David) McCalley; Russ (Vicki) Belz and Ron (Karen) Belz; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
