SERVICES HELD FOR MARIE MORRISON, 84

Marie Morrison, 84, formerly of Collins, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, of heart disease at iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. She had been a resident of the Mitchellville Care Center in Mitchellville for the past four years.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Feb. 9, at the Collins United Methodist Church in Collins.

Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Collins.

Marie Morrison was born in Bondurant on March 24, 1913 to Harvey and Ida (Johnson) Tomlinson. She was united in marriage with Glenn W. Morrison on May 24, 1931 at Farrar. She was a lifelong resident of Collins. She had worked as an assistant cashier at the Maxwell State Bank, retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Collins United Methodist Church, and past treasurer of the Collins School and the City of Collins.

She was preceeded in death by her parents; and her husband, Glenn, in 1952.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Donna Lee Gilbert of rural Collins; two grandchildren, Douglas Gilbert of Nevada and Deborah Gilbert of New York City; and three great-grandchildren.

The Fredregill Funeral Home in Collins handled the arrangements.
