From Nevada Representative October 1880

Mrs. Martha Gilmore wife of John Gilmore one of he oldest settlers of this township died on Sunday the 10th inst., of heart disease. She was buried on Monday the 11th, at the Illinois Grove cemetery. The funeral was a large one there being about forty teams in the procession.

Rev. Alanson Stebbins delivered the funeral sermon at the Illinois Grove School House to a large congregation.
